Credits & billing
Every design generation costs credits. Embedded usage bills to your business, not your users individually — exactly like a normal Designa team.
The shared pool
One credit pool exists per partnerBusinessId. All users you send in under that business id spend from the same pool and see the same balance, shown as a pill in the top-right of the embed.

Who can buy credits
role=admin(or the auto-assignedowner— the first user of a new business id) can top up the pool via Stripe from inside the embed, and open a team-usage view showing per-member spend.role=membercan consume credits but can't buy or view team usage.
Per-user spend caps
Once an embedded business exists, it's a normal Designa team under the hood. The business owner can set a per-user spend cap for any member from Designa's regular team management page (app.designa.ai → People) — useful if you want to let members draw from the shared pool but bound how much any single person can use.
When generation is blocked
Generation is blocked when either of these is true:
- The business pool is empty.
- The member has hit their individual spend cap, even if the pool itself still has balance.
Designa can also grant credits to a pool administratively if you need a manual top-up outside of Stripe.
